Youth

Mission: The mission of the Youth Ministry is to carry out the vision of the Church by addressing the specific needs of children, youth, teens and their families through utilizing opportunities that promote discipleship, worship, outreach, ministry and fellowship.

Purpose: The purpose of the Youth Ministry is that in identifying the needs of the children and their families, the ministry can develop and implement strategies to address those needs whether those needs are spiritual, physical, emotional or social.

Current Youth Activities:

Boy Scouts: The Boy Scouts meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday morning at 9:00am, please contact boyscouts@ogmbc.org .

Girl Scouts: Girl Scouts meets here at Orange Grove every 1st and 3rd Thursday in the Multi-Purpose Room at 6:00 pm. For more information, please contact gscout4me@yahoo.com  

Expressions Dance Ministry: Our vision is to allow the Holy Spirit to move the children into a new realm of ministry, allowing them to reach others and save souls. Taking their talent of dancing and using it as a gift that will create an atmosphere of praise is our ultimate goal.

Cherubs Choir ( Age 3 -11) The Cherubs rehearse every Tuesday – 6pm-7pm in the sanctuary (except the Tuesday after the 2nd Sunday) and sings during the 11:00am service every 2nd Sunday. They also participate in the children’s church service on 2nd and 4th Sundays with scripture and prayer.

Gospel Youth Explosion Choir (Age 12 – 22): The GYE Choir rehearse every Monday evening at 6:00pm and sing during 8:00am and 11:00am Worship Service on 2nd Sunday.

Junior Ushers: The Junior Ushers serve every 4th Sunday

Children’s Church: Held every 2nd and 4th Sunday

Teen Church: Held every 3rd Sunday
